What to do in Protaras

Protaras moves at its own pace
slow where it matters, vibrant when it wants to be.

Start early at Fig Tree Bay
clear, shallow water and sand that stays soft underfoot.

Follow the coastal path past quiet coves and sea views,
or head to Konnos Bay
for something calmer and more tucked away.

Boat trips drift toward the Blue Lagoon,
with time to swim and stay a little longer.

By evening, beachfront bars and restaurants soften the pace again.

Swim. Walk. Drift.

…that’s Protaras.

Bars & Restaurants

Evenings in Protaras feel open and easy.

Start by the sea at Kalamies Restaurant
fresh fish, simple flavours,
tables close enough to hear the water.

For something more modern,
Marcello’s Restaurant offers long dinners that stretch naturally
pasta, wine, and no need to rush.

Along the strip, places like Malthouse Beer n Food
bring a livelier energy
casual, social, easy to settle into.

And when the night softens,
cocktail bars and beachfront lounges
carry things just a little further.

Nothing too formal.
Nothing too loud.

Just somewhere that feels right,
for as long as you stay.

Beaches

Protaras is known for its water
clear, calm, almost still.

At Fig Tree Bay, the water stays calm and impossibly clear.
Early swims, slower afternoons,

A little further along, Konnos Bay
feels more tucked away.
Surrounded by cliffs, quieter, slower.

And near Pernera,
smaller beaches like Kalamies Beach
offer something softer
less space, but more calm.

Each one different.
All easy to return to.

Sea. Light. Stillness.

Family Fun

Protaras makes family days feel easy
without needing to plan too much.

Start at Fig Tree Bay
shallow, clear, and perfect for long swims.

For something more active,
WaterWorld Waterpark
is just a short drive away
slides, wave pools, and full afternoons in the sun.

Closer by, the Protaras Ocean Aquarium
offers a slower outing.

Boat trips, mini golf, ice cream after dinner,
and evening walks by the sea fill the rest naturally.

You’ll do a little.
They’ll remember a lot.

Places of Interest

Away from the shoreline, Protaras reveals a slower side.

Start at Cape Greco National Forest Park
cliffside views, walking trails,
and space that feels untouched.

Stop at the Ayioi Anargyroi Chapel
small, white, set against the sea.
Simple, still, worth the pause.

Nearby, the Cape Greco Sea Caves
offer something more dramatic —
arched rock formations, deep blue water below.

Back in town, visit the Church of Profitis Ilias
a short climb, but worth it for the view.
Especially at sunset.

You don’t need to see it all.
Just enough to shift your perspective,
before returning to where you started.

Stone. Sea. Horizon.

…that’s Protaras.
